The Diptyque features peaceful lines, contrasting textures, soft pastel and metallic colors. It is a stunning reminder of a time of tranquility, beauty and a moment of peace in the Republic of Georgia before the Ukraine-Russia war.
 
This abstract painting was inspired by my time spent in the Black Sea of Batumi in Georgia. I hoped to capture the pure bliss and creative flow that I experienced in that period of my life.
 
Have you felt it before? Like everything was going so well and perfectly, you just want to hold on to it forever and not let it slip away? 
 
If only I could capture this time and space, then store it in a secret transparent box forever….. The calming waves of the ocean, the saltiness and hopefulness in the air….
 
This small country in Eastern Europe is full of natural wonders such as century-long wineries, as well as the beautiful Black Sea. I was fortunate enough to call it home for three years, before the war between Russia and Ukraine started and changed everything, sadly.
 
It’s nostalgic to think about that beautiful moment and I hope that emotion transcends in the painting. May the piece bring a sense of calmness and serenity to wherever you are.
