Story Time:
The Northern Lights is one of my personal favorite. It captures the slither of hope that can be found in the darkness.
As a stubborn overthinker and planner, it was difficult me to learn and accept that life doesn't always go according to plan, but that's okay.
The unknown may sometimes present danger. But gradually, I've learnt (still learning) to embrace change and find solace in the beauty of the unknown.
The Northern Lights are a symbol of hope. May this painting give you courage, hope or a touch of comfort during the good and tough times.
Just like the painting, you are unique. You are one of a kind. You are more than enough. Remember that!
About The Artwork:
The piece is bold and balanced when you peer from afar, and full of pleasant dynamic details up-close:
The smooth transitions, the careful use of bold texture, how the iridescent colors shift and transform in different angles of the light.
In the process of creation, I had to really step out of my comfort zone. I forced myself to break free from the crippling tendencies to achieve perfectionism and be bold. I think it really manifested in the composition.
