For me, this painting represents the side of the childlike girliness that was very much present in my  early childhood - that limitless fantasy land. 
 
For some weird reaons, as I grew older, that feminine 'girliness' seems to have escaped me. Over the years, I seem to have created a thick shield to always have to be 'strong enough', 'competitive enough' that I've forgotten it's okay and nice to be girly
 
As part of an ongoing self discovery, I have been learning to embrace my feminine side. Learning to let go. Learning to allow myself acceptance and love. Learning to let my pure self shine through the layers of shields.
