‘The Poet's Lover’ is an abstract painting carrying a story of heartfelt confession, love and longing.
The artwork incorporates a symphony of comforting light sky blue, each hue carefully chosen, each shade meticulously blended. The tender palette chosen is a representation of affection gradually turned into serenity, peace and acceptance.
It’s a nostalgic tribute to the good, old carefree times I spent when studying in Australia. I still remember fondly of the years living by the breathtaking Coogee Beach in Sydney.
When creating this painting, my inspiration draws the essence from those sun-kissed days, the laughter that resonated along the shore, worries washed away by the ocean breeze, and the bright dreams under the vast, clear sky.
Look closely and you’ll find elements of shimmering gold dripping down the canvas like happy tears… And a pear-shaped 3D texture in gold, illustrating how time slips away like sand in an hourglass.
To me, this painting is a portal to the past, a window to those halcyon days of uncomplicated joy and profound love. I invite you to travel back to a time when happiness and life felt simple, unencumbered, free.
‘The Poet's Lover’ is more than an abstract painting; it's a memory frozen in time. It's a testament to a love that was, a love that is, and a love that will always be.
Even in abstraction, love remains the most powerful emotion, capable of transcending time, space, and the confines of the canvas.
